Pronouns:
He, Him, His

Matt Moonen, Executive Director, joined the EqualityMaine staff in July 2015. He brings extensive field, legislative, campaign, and advocacy experience to our team. In addition to his work with us, Matt currently represents part of Portland in the Maine House of Representatives, where he serves as the House Chair of the Judiciary committee. This is Matt’s second time on the EqualityMaine team; he was previously on staff from 2007-2010, serving as Political Director and one of the senior strategists in the successful passage of the 2009 marriage equality bill and the historic No on 1: Protect Maine Equality campaign. Matt is excited to once again be working with such a strong team at EQME to achieve full equality for LGBT Mainers.

Why we list our pronouns

Names aren’t the only way we refer to people. We share our gender pronouns and encourage you to do the same. Gender pronouns are the way you like to be referred to: she, her, hers; they, them, theirs; he, him, his; or something else. We share these because we do not want to assume another person’s gender.
