Emily

Research Intern

Pronouns:
she/they

We have welcomed a new intern for the fall season, Emily! Emily (she/they) comes to EQME as an intern through USM’s Master of Social Work program. She graduated from Bowdoin College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Emily has experience as an educator in both outdoor and classroom learning environments and is an engaged member of the Portland queer community. She is excited to conduct research on national standards in LGBTQ+ cultural competency training and develop resources to bolster EQME’s educational programs.

Why we list our pronouns

Names aren’t the only way we refer to people. We share our gender pronouns and encourage you to do the same. Gender pronouns are the way you like to be referred to: she, her, hers; they, them, theirs; he, him, his; or something else. We share these because we do not want to assume another person’s gender.
