Ava

Communications Intern

Pronouns:
she/her

Our summer intern, Ava (she/her), is staying with us for the fall! At EqualityMaine, she helps with youth programming, social media and communications, and event planning. Ava is a senior at USM getting her degree in Social & Behavior Science. Post-graduation she plans on attending graduate school to obtain her Master of Social Work. When not at EqualityMaine, Ava works as a preschool teacher and enjoys going to concerts, swimming, and being outside.

Why we list our pronouns

Names aren’t the only way we refer to people. We share our gender pronouns and encourage you to do the same. Gender pronouns are the way you like to be referred to: she, her, hers; they, them, theirs; he, him, his; or something else. We share these because we do not want to assume another person’s gender.
