
WHAT IS THE NEW LEADERS PROJECT SUMMER CAMP?
The New Leaders Project Summer Camp is a week-long LGBTQ+ youth summer overnight camp that aims to strengthen leadership skills, build resilience, and provide opportunities for self-affirming discovery and personal growth. At camp, we strive to foster real connections and relationships between LGBTQ+ youth, allies, and a team of dedicated counselors and staff. We aim to inspire and challenge campers with passionate, experienced, and talented speakers.
New Leaders Project: Summer 2025
Monday, August 11th – Saturday, August 16th
We offer an application period from February 14th – March 31st. Applications are not first-come, first served so please take your time with the application materials and process. Applicants will be notified of their application status by mid-April.



CAMPERS
for students ages 13-17 or entering 8-12 grade looking for a safe and supportive summer camp environment.

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING
for LGBTQ+ young adult leaders aged 18-20.
- volunteer position with nominal stipend available
- three-day training required prior to camp
- open to 6 participants

for LGBTQ+ young adult leaders aged 21 and up.
- volunteer position with nominal stipend available
- two-day training required prior to camp
- open to 10 participants
