Gabi Berube Pierce is an attorney and a veteran of many progressive issue and candidate campaigns— including the 2009 Maine Won’t Discriminate and Protect Maine Equality campaign.  Gabi has always been a fierce advocate for justice and equality— in college at the University of Maine she worked to pass Maine’s historic protections for the LGBT community in the Maine Human Rights Act.  As a student at the University of Maine School of Law, Gabi balanced her studies with volunteering to protect voting rights, promote marriage equality, and supporting Maine’s first openly gay candidate for Governor.

Following graduation from MaineLaw, Gabi immediately went to work as a public interest attorney, advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Gabi has served on the boards of Opportunity Maine and Emerge Maine, and has been an active member of her county Democratic committees.

Gabi resides in the Bangor area with her son and daughter, with whom she loves to play in the mud, get messy, and build pillow forts.
