SAGE Speaker Series: 'Woodsqueer' Gretchen Legler

Join us for an informal presentation and talk with other SAGE members about a topic relevant to our community. This week we are welcoming Gretchen Legler, farmer, gardener, teacher, writer, lover of the natural world and the author of Woodsqueer: Crafting a Sustainable Rural Life. In this talk, Legler will read passages from the book and share some of  the joys and challenges of living a “modern” agrarian life. What do we gain as humans by living in closer relationship with land, food and animals?  What are some of the sweet blessings of finding time to pay close attention to other “beings” with whom we, as humans, share the world in which we live?
