The Q - A Conference to Raise Up LGBTQ+ Youth

EqualityMaine is excited to partner with the University of Maine to bring our 8th Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth Conference back to the Orono campus this fall. 
This event will focus on improving the health and wellness of LGBTQ+ youth, creating safer schools and communities, and providing valuable resources to students, educators, and parents.

This year’s conference will feature a keynote address from the legendary Robyn Ochs - activist, educator and bisexual woman making history!

Workshop topics include: creating and implementing inclusive school policies, mental health and wellness, supporting at-risk students, leading your GSTA, activism and politics, identity exploration and more!

Programs will be targeted toward educators, professionals, family members and students.

Conference co-sponsors are EqualityMaine, UMaine LGBTQ Services, UMaine Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, Maine Health Access Foundation, and GLSEN-Southern Maine.
