The Queer Network
The Queer Network is EqualityMaine’s newer program aimed at LGBTQ+ Mainers in their twenties and thirties. Our events give young people in and out of the workforce the chance to build their connections with other LGBTQ+ folks in the state, share resources and opportunities, and find community in those with similar life experiences in and out of professional settings.
We launched the Queer Network in March 2020, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve since pivoted to virtual programming. As we navigate this transition and work to keep our community connected, we are open to hearing from you about what kind of events interest you!
Previous programming has included:
- Summer Trail Hike
- Virtual workshops on financial literacy, on LGBTQ+ workplace protections, and on LGBTQ+ family building
- Reflect and Connect: Intergenerational Conversation, in collaboration with SAGE Maine
- Queer Trivia Night
