Message Content: <p> I want to share with you some of the amazing work of EqualityMaine and what they are doing right now to fight for marriage equality in Maine: On May 6, 2009, Maine made history by being the first state to pass a marriage bill through both chambers of the Legislature and have it signed into law by our Governor. Unfortunately, we lost the fight at the ballot box the following November. But the fight is not over. I&#39;m joining EqualityMaine to fight for the rights of all gay and lesbian couples to marry in Maine. I really hope you check out the EqualityMaine website and consider joining the cause.</p>
