To succeed, we need 80,000 signatures by the end of the year.
But first - we’re negotiating the exact language with the Secretary of State now, but in the meantime, we’re rapidly building the field program we need for a successful campaign.
Second – for that field program, we have to collect 80,000 signatures by the end of this year to qualify for the 2012 ballot. This means we need organizers on the ground in all regions of the state. We have a plan to bring marriage to all Maine families by 2012, and we can already see that it’s working! Each day, we’re having face-to-face conversations and making the case to more Mainers about why marriage matters to gay and lesbian couples.
Third – we need volunteers, lots of them. Can you commit to gathering 25, 50, or 100 signatures by the end of the year to help us reach our goal of 80,000?
