KUMU HINA (Teacher Hina) tells the inspiring story of Hina Wong-Kalu, a transgender native Hawaiian teacher and cultural icon who brings to life Hawaiiʻs traditional embrace of mahu - those who embody both male and female spirit. The film will be featured in the Maine International Film Festival in Waterville on Fri., July 18 at 6:15pm in Railroad Square Cinema 2, and Sat., July 19 at 12:30pm in Railroad Square Cinema 1.   read more »
